“The Trunk” by Gallimard

A riveting compendium consisting of stories hand-picked from the personal diaries of Gaston-Louis Vuitton himself.  As the title suggests, this book is all about trunks – Vuitton’s zeal for trunks led him to keep many records of fascinating stories revolving around them. These records have been locked away for years at the Louis Vuitton home, until now. 11 privileged French writers had been invited to share these stories in this book, including Véronique Ovaldé (pictured above). Don’t just read this book because you love fashion. Read it because you are an enthusiast, read it if you love history, and read it if you can’t put down a James Bond novel to save your life. Expect “Murder on the Orient Express” vibes (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, then you should definitely NOT try this one out. Just saying.).
